Information: Join us for a celebration of Lansing’s abundant and impressive network of community gardens. In partnership with the Ingham County Land Bank Garden Program and the Northwest Initiative, the Greater Lansing Food Bank Garden Project will host tour routes by bus, bike and foot through established community gardens throughout greater Lansing.
This is a great chance to explore the sights, sounds and tastes of Lansing’s gardening scene, while meeting the gardeners who make it happen. The tours will showcase the ways that gardens are improving health and nutrition, building community and creating a more vibrant Lansing. Refreshments will be provided before departure and along the routes.
Details: John Krohn, Ingham County Land Bank Garden Program coordinator and Alex Bryan, Greater Lansing Food Bank director of agricultural programs will be available for interviews throughout the evening.
